"Soho House's first Mediterranean farmhouse is the anti-Ibiza Ibiza — a members-only wellness retreat in a working olive grove that trades nightlife for NAD+ drips, hyperbaric chambers, and the best curated art collection on the island."

The Verdict

Soho Farmhouse Ibiza occupies nine acres of working olive grove in Santa Gertrudis — the quiet, inland village that creative residents have long considered the real center of the island. The property opened in summer 2025 on the bones of Cas Gasi, a beloved agroturismo that operated for 25 years. Soho House kept the original farmhouse structure, the terracotta floors, and the timber beams. What they added is a members-only wellness infrastructure that is more serious than anything else in their portfolio.

The positioning is deliberate: this is not a beach club with a spa. There is no beach. The nearest coast is 20 minutes away. What there is: contrast therapy suites, hyperbaric oxygen, NAD+ infusions, red light therapy, a Technogym gym, and a daily class schedule built around three pillars — Restore, Form, and Power. For a brand known primarily for social clubs and screening rooms, the clinical depth here is a genuine surprise.

The Wellness Programming

The Soho Health Club is the operational heart of the property. The facility spans thermal suites with hot/cold contrast pools, infrared and traditional saunas, ice baths, and three private onsen-style thermal baths held at 25°C. The spa menu runs Cowshed massages, Omorovicza facials, and HydraFacials — competent luxury treatments that execute cleanly without being remarkable.

The more interesting offering is the "Lazy Lab" — a recovery and longevity suite housing IV infusion therapy (including NAD+ boosters), hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and red light photobiomodulation. This is not typical Soho House territory. The inclusion signals a genuine attempt to serve guests who treat wellness as a practice rather than an amenity.

The fitness programming runs daily: yoga and breathwork in the morning, strength and conditioning at midday, high-intensity sessions in the afternoon. A proprietary Myofascial Flow class, available only at this property, is worth booking. The outdoor movement deck overlooking the olive groves is one of the more beautiful training environments we have used.

The Food

The Farmhouse Restaurant sits among the olive trees and delivers a Balearic-Mediterranean menu sourced from the kitchen garden directly behind it. The farm-to-table claim is literal — you can see what was harvested that morning from your table. Grilled Formentera langoustine, seafood plates, and garden vegetables dominate. The cooking is confident and unfussy.

The outdoor House Menu offers global Soho House staples alongside local tapas — pan cristal con tomate, calamari, fresh dips. The signature Rose Spritz (rose, elderflower, aperitivo, rosemary) is well-constructed. In-room provisions include locally made sourdough, farm butter, artisan cheese, and a stocked minibar. A complimentary spritz cart appears at the end of each afternoon, which is precisely the kind of detail that distinguishes hospitality from accommodation.

The Setting

Interior designer Sophie Baker approached the renovation with restraint. The original Cas Gasi farmhouse — whitewashed walls, high ceilings, terracotta floors — remains legible beneath the Soho House layer. Rooms feature smoked terracotta bathroom floors, hand-applied plaster walls, hand-carved timber vanities with lattice designs referencing Ibizan basket-weaving, and 1970s vintage glassware. The aesthetic is warm, textured, and respectful of place.

The art collection is a standout: 70 works by 21 Balearic-connected artists. The Library houses the first sculptural ceiling installation in the global Soho House portfolio — 200+ handmade ceramic pieces by Natalie Rich that transform the room into something genuinely arresting. The Odeum concept store, curated by the Scorpios team with 40+ fashion and design brands, is worth browsing.

What It Does Well

Atmosphere. The property achieves a quality that is extraordinarily difficult to engineer: it feels like a place rather than a product. The olive grove setting, the preserved farmhouse architecture, the intimate scale (only 14 rooms and 2 villas), and the year-round operation create a rhythm that is distinctly Mediterranean. You eat well, you move, you recover, you sit under a tree. The day does not need to be optimized.

The membership filter also serves the atmosphere. The absence of walk-in tourists and the creative-professional skew of the Soho House demographic means the other guests tend to be interesting without being performative. This matters more than most properties acknowledge.

The Limitations

Service at launch was uneven. Staff were described as "a bit clueless" with slow delivery — likely opening-phase growing pains, but notable at this price point. The Soho House service model has always been more casual than luxury hotels, and that gap is more visible when you are paying luxury-hotel prices.

The members-only access is a real barrier. You need an active Soho House membership (from EUR 233/month) to book. Pricing is not publicly listed. The 14-day cancellation policy charges the full stay for late cancellations. These are the economics of exclusivity, but they add friction that open-booking properties do not impose.

No beach. This is a feature or a limitation depending on your expectations, but it means the property requires you to rent a car or arrange transport for any coastal activity. The inland setting is the entire point, but it limits spontaneity.

The scale is extremely intimate — 14 rooms means availability is thin, especially in summer. If you want flexibility on dates, book months in advance.

The Price

Membership starts at EUR 233/month. Nightly rates are visible only to members and vary by room category and season, but estimated range is EUR 300–700+ per night. Villas command a premium above that. Spa treatments, Lazy Lab sessions, and dining are largely à la carte. A full week with daily wellness programming and treatments will likely approach $6,500–$10,000 depending on the room and the menu of services.

Final Assessment

Soho Farmhouse Ibiza is the most interesting property Soho House has built. The wellness infrastructure is genuinely substantive — the Lazy Lab and thermal suites alone elevate it beyond the brand's traditional spa-as-amenity approach. The design is beautiful without being precious. The food is honest. The art is exceptional. Whether the membership requirement and the service inconsistencies are dealbreakers depends on your tolerance for a brand that is still learning how to deliver at this level. If they solve the service, this becomes one of the best wellness retreats in the Mediterranean.
